The II International Conference “Contemporary Hispanic World: Culture, Society and Politics” brings together scholars, researchers, and students from diverse fields to explore the current dynamics shaping the Spanish-speaking world. Hosted by Vytautas Magnus University, this event provides a platform for critical reflection and academic exchange on key cultural, social, and political issues in contemporary Hispanic societies.
The conference continues the initiative launched in 2021, when the first edition was organised online in response to the increasing interest in the Spanish-speaking countries in Lithuania. Building on the success of that first meeting, the 2025 edition aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, promote international collaboration, and offer new perspectives on the complexities and transformations of the Hispanic world in the 21st century.
Organised by the Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy of Vytautas Magnus University in collaboration with the Miguel de Cervantes Spanish Language and Culture Club, this event welcomes contributions from multiple disciplines and encourages participants to engage in meaningful discussions on contemporary issues across the Hispanic world.
