With a passion to honour Mother Nature, the emphasis on working with seasonal British flowers is at the heart of all their creations. In an industry that impacts greatly on the environment globally their focus on seasonal, local, sustainable and plastic free is something they hope will lead to a wider conversation in the floristry world and a greater awareness for customers.

Make your very own Floral Cloud workshop 

A mini cloud all of your own. Join us for a morning learning the mechanics to create your very own foam free 3 dimensional sculpture. Once made you’ll then decorate your structure with a mix of foliage and flora in your own unique style. Yours to take home and hang as your very own dramatic artistic statement piece. Guided by us using the best of the British season and sustainable methods.

All mechanics, tools and ingredients are supplied you just need to remember to bring a boot big enough!

After over two decades living and working overseas as a linguist, with clients in the luxury goods and perfume industry among others, after returning to the UK, Nicola pivoted and founded The Blue Barn Candle Company to explore her more creative side. Her luxury-products are based on the ethics of sustainability and affordability, and are slowly gaining a loyal customer following around the UK. Nicola has a passion for using almost exclusively recycled, refillable or reusable materials in her creations, sourced within the UK.

Workshop 

Come and join Nicola to make your own triple-wick, pure soy wax candle in a high-end ceramic bowl that can be repurposed as an elegant planter in your home. Spend 2 hours learning about the art and science of candle-making, the effects and benefits that some home fragrance ingredients can have on our health and wellbeing, and on the environment, and then use your newly-learned knowledge to make your own luxury candle to take home, choosing from a number of fragrances that match your own preferences and style. You will be guided step by step in the making of your wax creation. Your candles will be ready to take home whe you leave.
