Travel and scientific events
As part of my scientific activities, I often organise conferences and other scientific events. I also travel to visit collaborators and colleagues. Below you can find some information about it.
Travel
I also travel to visit collaborators in different universities or to attend conferences without giving a talk. Below you can find a list of places where we may have met or will meet, starting from January 2020:
During May 2023 I visited NTNU and the CAS in Trondheim and Oslo, respectively, both in Norway.
I visited the University of Verona, Italy, in October 2022.
In August 2022 I am an invited researcher at the University of Buenos Aires.
During April 2022 I visit the University of Cologne in Cologne, Germany.
In March 2022 I visit NTNU in Trondheim, Norway.
During December 2021 I am visiting the Departmento de Matemáticas de la Universidad de Buenos Aires.
During the Automne semester of 2021 I participate of the Trimester Programme: "Cluster algebras and representation theory" that will take place at the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences in Cambridge, UK.
From the 1st of September to the 18th of December 2020 I participate of the Junior Trimester Program "New Trends in Representation Theory" in Bonn, Germany.
From the 31st of January to the 15th of February 2020 I visit the Mathematical Institute of UNAM, in Mexico City, Mexico.
Organisation of scientific activities
Together with John Macquarrie we are organising the Representation Theory session at the Coloquio Latinoamericano de Álgebra 2024 which will be held at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago, Chile, during the month of July 2024.
I was part of the organising committee of the CIMPA School Crossroads of geometry, representation theory and higher structures that took place in Puerto Madryn, Argentina, during March 2023.
I'm part of the ICRA 2022 - International Conference in Representation of Algebras that took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in August 2022.
In the last two weeks of September 2021 I co-organised together with Karin Baur, Ana Garcia Elsener and Sibylle Schroll a two week event called New developments in representation theory aring from cluster algebras (see first week and second week). This event was part of the semester Cluster algebras and representation theory that is currently taking place at the Isaac Newton Institute in Cambridge, Uk.
In May 2019 I was part of the local organising committee for the conference Interactions between representation theory and homological mirror symmetry that took place in Leicester, UK.
In April 2019 I organised together with Fatemeh Mohammadi a workshop entitled Tropical Geometry meets Representation Theory II for early career researchers on the connections between (tropical) geometry and representation theory. https://sites.google.com/view/tgrt2019/home.
From January 2018 until January 2020 I was the organiser of the Pure Mathematics seminar in the University of Leicester. Regretably, shortly after I left to start my position in Bonn, the management of the University decided to close the Pure Math department. All my support is with the people that have lost their jobs and have been mistreated by burocrats disconnected to the academic reality.
