Dear Students and Guardians,
As we approach the course selection process to prepare for the 2026-2027 school year, we want to share our expectations regarding participation in WEMOCO and New Visions. Hilton Central School District is proud of our partnership with Monroe 2 BOCES and associated WEMOCO program. We believe the job-related skills students learn while enrolled in this highly sought after program are invaluable to their future success in our ever growing global economy. We would like to stress that enrollment in WEMOCO is a privilege. To be eligible to participate in this program, students must:
Have an attendance rate of 93% or higher at both the high school and at WEMOCO
Student attendance expectations apply to all students, grades 9-12
Actively participate in all classes
Maintain appropriate, career ready behaviors
Earn enough credits to accommodate WEMOCO with an on-time graduation
Participate in the school-sponsored tour of WEMOCO
Complete and submit the WEMOCO Application on-time during each course selection process
Stay tuned in this Student/Family Connection site for information regarding the date for the school-sponsored tour of WEMOCO and due date for the application. If your student is unable to attend the school-sponsored tour, they should connect with their school counselor to ensure they have an opportunity to visit prior to applying.
If your student is accepted into the WEMOCO program, the same expectations for attendance, participation, and behavior will remain in place to ensure continued participation in the program. You can expect to receive a weekly attendance report emailed to you. If your child’s attendance falls below 93% an/or they have a behavioral concern, they will be required to meet with their School Counselor or Assistant Principal to review expectations and agree to a plan for improvement in order to stay in the program.
If you have any questions regarding this information, please reach out to your child’s School Counselor or Administrator.
