All STUCO applications for the 2025-2026 school year are due Wednesday, April 30 to the 2nd floor AP Suite.
STUDENT BODY OFFICERS Application (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, 1-2 Publicity Chairs)
Student Body Officers lead the student body (all class executive council members and class representatives are part of the student body). These officers oversee school-wide events and collaborate with the various classes to promote a positive school culture.
Work with student body advisors. Be in frequent contact with other officers and advisors.
Attend all monthly Student Body Meetings and Student Body Officer Meetings.
Must be a current 10th or 11th grader in good standing to apply (11th or 12th grader next year).
Can not be a member of the class executive council and Student Body Officer. You are allowed to be a class representative and student body officer. Exceptions may be made with advisor approval.
Plan and help orchestrate School-Wide Events including Seasonal Pep Rallies, Homecoming, Girls on the Gridiron, Spirit Weeks, Winter Formal, Staff Appreciation events, etc.
If you are an officer during your senior year, you are eligible to apply to speak at graduation*
Class Executive Council Members act as leaders and facilitate collaboration within the class council. These members work closely with class advisors to plan class events and activities.

Class of 2027: Miss Gaylord & Mrs. Gilmore-Tep
Class of 2028: Mrs. Johnson & Mr. Pietarinen
Help orchestrate and plan class fundraising and class events (including prom and ball).
Regularly attend and participate in Class Meetings AND monthly Student Body Meetings and serve on committees in both.

Class Representatives work with class executive council members to plan class specific activities and events. Class Representatives also attend student body meetings where all student council members come together to plan and orchestrate school-wide events

Serve on committees that are of interest to you: Homecoming, Staff Appreciation, Publicity, Events, etc.

If interested, any senior student body officer or member of the senior class executive council may apply to be the Student Council speaker for the senior class at graduation. You will submit a writing sample, and be chosen by a blind committee.

STUDENT BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBER Application
General Responsibilities:
Have attended Hilton High School for at least one year prior to selection.
Be entering 11th or 12th grade the subsequent school year.
Serve for a term of one year, commencing July 1 and ending June 30.
Sit with Board members at all public meetings and hearings of the Board, as well as any other meetings deemed necessary.
Not be allowed to vote.
Not be allowed to attend executive sessions or any other meetings or hearings not open to the public.
Not be entitled to receive compensation of any form for participating at Board meetings.
Participate in other Board activities and responsibilities at the discretion of the Board
Act as a role model for their peers.
Collaborate with High School Administration and Student Council to positively promote school culture and help enact positive change.
Application Process:
Make an electronic copy of this document.
On page 2, type your full name and thoughtful responses to the four prompts.
Print the entire document.
On page 3, collect 20 signatures from current Hilton High students who support your desire to serve as a Student Board of Education Member.
Submit the completed paper application to a Student Council Advisor (Mr. Weis or Mrs. Wheelock) by the last day of school in April.
Student Council Officers and Advisors will review all applications and make two recommendations, one entering 11th grade and one entering 12th grade, to the principal by the last day of school in May.
