ENCOURAGING GROWTH
Hills Tutoring is located in Emerald, Victoria and is a small tailored business looking to support the needs of students in the surrounding Dandenong Ranges.
In a spirit of fun, kindness and encouragement; we seek to help each student grapple with their specific learning challenges, in order that they may continue to grow in their educational journey.
Sessions for Primary students are play based, hands-on (where possible) and tailored to the learning style of each student.
JACKIE PINKSTER Primary Maths, English and Year 7-8 English
Founder and director of Hills Tutoring.
An experienced Primary and Secondary school teacher.
Expertise in supporting students with additional needs.
Familiar with recent developments in the science of reading.

ELIZABETH FENSHAM Secondary English
Award winning author of Junior and Young Adult fiction in Australia.
Highly experienced Secondary English and V.C.E teacher.
Elizabeth has a reputation for drawing out student's creative and academic strengths.
Her goal is to support students to realise their full potential.

CATHERINE PELLEGRINI Secondary English
Bachelor of Linguistics, Spanish and Latin American studies (UNSW)
Post graduate diploma in TESOL (Cambridge)
Certificate in Adult Literacy
Linguistically trained and highly experienced, Catherine has a strong background in teaching and directing ESL programs (English as a second language) and in latter years has moved into English tutoring. She enjoys helping young people become the best versions of themselves and is well placed to guide secondary students through all the facets of the English language.
She is also a flamenco dancer and teacher and when not dancing enjoys cooking and taking long walks with her dog in the beautiful Dandenong ranges.

GABE PENKETH Secondary Maths and Physics
Gabe graduated from V.C.E Emerald Secondary College, (S.E.A.L accelerated learning program) in 2021.
Currently working as an Electronics Technician at Motorola. Gabe has tutored students from Year 7 through to V.C.E. Gabe has a highly methodical approach to explaining content and helps students to learn to think for themselves. He builds a genuine rapport with his students.
Local CFA volunteer. Keen interest in army tanks. Does maths for fun!
