WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SALES SEASON THIS YEAR, AND WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO REDUCE THE PRICE OF OUR TREES SINCE WE FOUND ANOTHER SUPPLIER OF PRE-CUT TREES AT PRICES LOWER THAN WE'VE BEEN PAYING. WE WILL HAVE A NUMBER OF PRE-CUTS OVER 10 FEEET TALL. WE WILL OFFER DECORATED WREATHS AGAIN THIS YEAR, BUT NOT AS MANY AS PREVIOUS YEARS.
WE ARE SORRY TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE WILL NO LONGER OFFER FREE COOKIES TO OUR CUSTOMERS. WE WILL OFFER THE USUAL FREE HOT CHOCOLATE AND MARSHMALLOWS FOR ROASTING.
NOTE: WE DO NOT ALLOW PRE-TAGGING OF TREES BEFORE WE OPEN.
Hill’s Tree Farm is part of a fourth generation general farm. We planted our first Christmas trees in 1982, and have been gradually adding additional species of trees since. We now grow four different kinds of fir, two of spruce, and two of pine. This year we are also bringing in freshly cut Fraser, Canaan, Balsam and Balsam/Fraser firs from Wisconsin. The Fraser Fir is a very popular tree that we have difficulty growing on our farm. We also do not grow Balsam Firs. For those of you who were here last year, we will have about as large a selection of trees as last year, but with a few more taller trees than last year.
Every tree for sale will have a price tag attached with the kind of tree stamped on the tag and each tag will show the height of the tree. We have a set policy that you not cut any tree unless it has a price tag on it. If we allowed cutting of every tree that was big enough to sell, we'll not have enough trees to sell next year! We encourage people to cut their own tree with hand saws we provide, but we will be glad to cut a tree for you if asked. Once the tree is cut, we mechanically shake the old needles out of the tree and net it for easy transport. We also offer a variety of tree stands.
This year, as usual, we will be offering decorated wreaths, as well as hand-decorated greenery, baskets, mantle pieces, table center pieces, and greenery crosses. We will also be offering hot chocolate and marshmallows for roasting over several fire pits, where you may also warm yourselves. You will have the option of paying for your trees and other items from outside or inside the tree shed. Also, you'll be able to pay by Venmo or Paypal, along with cash,check or credit card.
Your best Christmas memories probably involve a real tree. There’s something special about a real tree: the aroma, the beauty, the fun of decorating it. Keep the tradition alive. Treat yourself and your family to a real Christmas tree.
