Location: Northville High School, 45700 6 Mile Rd. Northville MI 48167. The pool is on the far west side of the building. Northville High School pool is shared by the Northville Boys High School, Meads Mill, and Hillside swim teams so always bring your swim gear on deck or lock it with your own lock in the locker. Locker rooms are for changing only. No food allowed on the deck!
Equipment (Everyone):
Competitive Suit - no beach shorts, ruffles or bikinis
Water bottle - no glass containers
Towel (divers will also want a shammy)
Swimmers will also want:
Swim Cap
Goggles (that don’t cover your nose, Speedo Vanquishers are recommended)
We will have kick boards and fins available but swimmers may want their own
Attendance: Athletes are expected to be at every practice and meets for which you are eligible for. If you are more than 10 minutes late, do NOT come to practice. It only disrupts everyone else. All non-emergency absences must be cleared with the coaches ahead of time. If you are sick, stay home, and email the coaches. If it is a meet day please sign out before 10 a.m. Failure to do this means you will not be in the lineup for the proceeding dual meet.
If you are attending regular workouts with a club swim team, continue to do so. However, plan on attending all Hillside meets that you are eligible for. See MISCA rule regarding USS and YMCA meets or outside diving competition on the meet info page.
Meet Days: No practice on meet days. Always check the team calendar
Weather Cancellations: If Northville Public Schools are closed due to weather, practices are canceled unless otherwise noted. Meet cancellations will be handled through the school district.
