Hills Farm was first established by Wilbur and Annie Hills (bottom left) in 1895. Since then the farm was passed down to Homer and Catherine Hills (pictured to the left), then to Alan & Denise Hills (below and to the left), and Greg and Kim Hills are the current farmers. During it's existence it has been primarily a dairy farm, but also housed chickens, a few horses, and pigs too. Also pictured is Wilbur Hills with a bumper crop (better than average year of corn). Our beef herd is comprised of 20 cows that are processed for our beef products between ages 18-24 months at New England Meat Packing in Stafford Springs, CT. The cows eat locally grown corn and hay and receive a ration of grain. See the information on A la Carte sales and our beef CSA. We also house dry cows and young stock for two local farms and supply farms and residents with manure and sawdust for bedding.
