I use your V-ray tools, and I started having Vray launch upon starting SketchUp even when it was disabled. (This issue started since SketchUp 2016 Update). I need it disabled until I launch Vray from your extension (This was the purpose of that extension, I am sure you understand what I mean) There is launch order for signed and un-signed extensions according to help page. Which I think is the cause of the issue.

He was falsely accused of a copyright violation with a different extension which caused him to withdraw his extensions/plugins. A sad loss to the community but certainly understandable considering the situation.

Many of you, though, will already be familiar with the basics of SketchUp and want to take your modeling skills to the next level. While the tools that come with the software are useful for most everyday tasks, anyone who has used SketchUp for more than a few days will know that there are a plethora of plugins out there that facilitate amazingly complex forms and ingenious time-saving processes.

One of the most ingenious plugins on this list, Helix Along Curve enables you to create helix tubing along a predefined path. To my knowledge, the trouble is with all plugins, native and non-native. I have completely uninstalled 2017 multiple times and with a fresh install as soon as I launch the software I receive the load errors on the following:

sandbox tools

advanced camera tools

dynamic components

trimble connect

web textures

I advocate when doing trouble shooting make sure you are dealing with known baseline so, would suggest you get the plugins you moved back to where they belong and the base line SU used when they did regression test before this 17 release. If you canont get Su17 to run as released then I would ask SU folks what the #### is going on.!

BTW does SU16 still run ok??

I maybe in left field big time but my memory tells me you have to have one of those shipped extension since it activates the plugin folder for the user plugins in or is it the utilities , make face?

@nzbt Does the install path for SketchUp 2017 include non-English unicode characters within it? Are you able to use the shipped extensions that come with 2017 in 2016? To do this you can launch 2017, copy the shipped extensions and place them within the correct 2016 plugin path.

I was able to fix 2016 by deleting the 2017 files from both the appdata/roaming/plugin directory as well as the d:/program files/Sketchup/shipped extension directory. So 2016 su is working again. yeah.

The Project Loose Geometry tool allows you to use the native SketchUp tools to draw loose geometry onto surfaces of your building envelope. I have issues installing the Curic Drawing tools in SU21. I have checked with the developer (that has responded very quickly and service minded ) that I have the link to the SU21 extension files and not the older ones. Does anybody have the knowledge to translate the message below that I get when I start up SU21?

Hi, the first time I ran Sketchup, the Openstudio tools loaded for me. However now everytime I open Sketchup, I no longer see them. Under Extension manager, OpenStudio shows up as enabled with an outdated signature. I am running on Windows 10 on SketchUp Make 2017.

Try reinstalling openstudio again if it doesn't work and you are sure you have ticked sketup plugin. Go on your openstudio folder and find sketchup plugin folder "C:\openstudio-2.6.0\SketchUpPlugin" on my PC. Copy the folders on that folder to ShippedExtension folder contained in sketchup 2017 "C:\Program Files\SketchUp\SketchUp 2017\ShippedExtensions"

If you haven't tried it already, uninstall both OS and sketch up, go on your your C drive and search for both OS and sketchup files delete files that are left and install again and try what I have said above, copying the files to sketchup folder.

Openstudio does not appear under extensions (In fact there is no extensions tab). It only shows up under extension manager unsigned and not recognizing the authors. (I downloaded Eucid for fun to see if it would work, sketchup recognized it and then I uninstalled it because I cant have Eucid and Openstudio at the same time) be457b7860
