Starting August 25th, join me at Blue Star Tuesdays at 10 for Coffee and Conversation
You need to know what’s happening in the schools and what actions the School Board is taking. Additionally, your School Board needs to hear and respond to your hopes and concerns. We need regular communication to work toward strong schools that support student achievement.
Our schools set annual progress goals. These goals should be clearly communicated, as should the successes and challenges in meeting them. We want our students to learn to take accountability for their learning and their actions. Let's model that by sharing our own goals and progress.
All community members deserve to feel heard and valued when sharing their opinions. We don't need to agree with each other in order to treat each other with respect. A variety of opinions and backgrounds is what makes our community strong.
I bring extensive education experience to this position. Locally, you have seen my leadership and values in action. I will continue to work hard to advocate for our students and families as your School Board representative.
