Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS)

Reporting volunteer hours is important:

• This data represents a statistical snapshot of what we are accomplishing at Hightower and tells a story to the community.
• Tracking volunteer data is a valuable tool in detailing and highlighting how volunteers impact not only the students but the community.
• Volunteer hours are part of the summative data for the school and becomes part of the overall campus evaluation.
• Volunteers are valuable to campus and District programs.
• Many grants, as well as state and federally funded programs, require an accurate reflection of volunteer hours.

At Hightower we rely on parents sharing their time, talents, and skills for the betterment of our students and school. You can become a school volunteer by completing the FBISD Volunteer Criminal History Application and contacting the PTO at hightowerhspto@gmail.com.

Please remember to report your volunteer hours before the 5th of each month.
