Dear Hurricane Family,
In order to make Hightower High School as successful as it can be, it takes the commitment of families like you to help provide the things tax dollars don’t cover. As a new organization, financial support is crucial to making sure we are successful in our goal of helping the school provide outstanding educational opportunities for our students.
Hightower High has never had a PTO, so some may be wondering what the PTO does. As a new organization, our key goal is changing the narrative of our school, broadening our base of community volunteers, increasing parent involvement and improving school-to-home and home-to-school communication. In addition to those key items, we want to provide the teachers with needed supplies and classroom technology, provide community volunteer opportunities for the students, and spearhead a campus beautification project that ensures the school spirit seen inside of Hightower, is also displayed on the outside of our campus.
We want to make this inaugural year great and set the foundation for a successful future, so the PTO has a HUGE goal. We know that most families don’t have time to sell candy or pickup fundraising orders, so we are asking that each family consider a one-time cash donation. The PTO, working with administration and teachers, will allocate 100% of your donation to the students and the school.
With over 2,000 students enrolled, a $50 donation from each family would help us reach a landmark goal however any amount would be appreciated. Let’s work together and make 2018-19 our best year yet!
