Our after-school musical program is a place where creativity shines and every student gets a chance to be a star. Whether you're a seasoned performer or trying the stage for the first time, this is your chance to build confidence, make new friends, and bring a story to life through music and movement.

Musical Participation is optional for our 4th and 5th grade students. Students who are interested in participating will have several opportunities to explore the musical and prepare for their audition in a friendly low stress environment. Every student who audition will be cast in the musical!
Pre-Audition Events:
August 29th: Alice in Wonderland Jr. Watch Party- This event is open to ALL interested 4th and 5th graders. We will watch a recorded performance of the musical and students will have the opportunity to ask questions and pick up audition materials.
Sept. 11th, Sept 18th, Sept. 25th: Pre-Audition workshops. Students can come and practice their audition materials with other students and the Directors and receive supportive feed back on how to make their audition stronger.
Students are required to attend auditions in order to participate in the musical. Remember that all students who audition will be cast in the musical. Auditions are on the following days and a sign up will be sent out closer to the day.
October 1st: 5th grade Auditions:
October 2nd: 4th Grade Auditions
October 3rd: 4th/5th Auditions
Rehearsals will begin on October 22nd and the exact schedule will be sent home with your child's casting decision and script.
Dress Rehearsals: Are the week before the performance and are our longest rehearsals. Students will not be dismissed until the run through is complete each day. Students will be fed dinner each dress rehearsal.
Performances: Students will perform for their peers in school on February 24th and 25th at 8:30 in the morning. (These performances are not open to families or the public). Evening performances for friends, family, and the community will be on February 26th and 27th at 6:00 pm.
A. I understand that participating in the musical is a privilege, and that all the school rules and expectations still apply during musical rehearsals.
B. I understand that I will be working with a group of people who are different than I am. I will be kind to my peers, be accountable for my actions, and treat the adults working on the musical with respect.
C. I understand that I am expected to be at all rehearsals where my character is listed at a participant.
D. I understand that I am expected to be a role model to other students by following school rules, being kind, and working hard at academics.
E. I understand that if I receive 5 think sheets, or an office referral at any point during the musical I will no longer be allowed to participate in the musical.
A, I understand that my student will be held accountable for following the expectations outlined above.
Participation Fee and Volunteering:
B. I agree to pay a $150 dollar participation fee by October 1st. The participation Fee Covers the following:
-Most Costumes, Make Up, and character related items for my performer.
-Props and Sets
-Cast T-shirt
-Provided meals during dress rehearsals
-Cast Party
C. I agree to volunteer during rehearsals, dress rehearsals and shows as I am able. Parents who have volunteered during the rehearsal will have early access to the cafeteria to select their seats before an evening performance of their choice.
Attendance and Absences:
D. I agree to communicate when my child is going to miss a rehearsal for any reason. I understand that if my student misses 3 or more rehearsals, they may not be able to participate in the musical and that this is up to the discretion of the Director (Ms. Sinoyiannis).
Carpool Pick Up
E. Student pick up will take place at the carpool lane. Not the front of the school. Students will only be dimsissed to cars from the carpool area. If you park somewhere else you will have to walk to carpool to pick up your child.
F. I agree to pick my child up on time after each rehearsal. Any pick up 15 minutes past the end time of rehearsal will be considered a late pick up. After three late pick ups I understand that my student may no longer be allowed to participate in the musical.
