FAQS:

Q: How does the PTA communicate with families?

A:  1) PTA Meetings - Five meetings are held throughout the school year. Typically, September, November, January, March and May.  

     2) Backpack Flyers - Gold colored paper flyers with the PTA Logo are sent home in your child's backpack. To conserve paper, flyers are often sent home with the youngest child in each family.

    3) PTA Newsflash Emails - Weekly emails with brief news and reminders of upcoming events are sent to members of the PTA.

    4) PTA Facebook Group - There is a closed Facebook Group that is available to Highland Families. 

Q: What is Givebacks (formerly MemberHub)?

A:  Givebacks is a secure online PTA management tool.  By registering, you have access to:  the School Store (this is where you'll need to go to purchase a PTA membership, Fun Food Fridays, etc.), Volunteer Signup, Links to important PTA documents (such as meeting minutes) and if you are a PAID member of the PTA you will have access to the Online School Directory. The directory can be accessed from the internet or your mobile devices. 

Q: What are "Fun Food Fridays" - "Fun Lunch", "Pizza Day" and "Treat Day"?

A:  These are special treats that are available for purchase. Twice a month you have the opportunity to purchase a Fun Lunch and Pizza Lunch for your child.  Lunches typically include a main entree (ie: Pizza, Grilled Cheese, Bagel Dog, Chicken Fingers, etc.), chips, and a juice box. On Fun Lunch days or Pizza Lunch days, should you purchase a lunch you do not need to send a lunch for your child. You will still need to send a morning snack. Once every other month, you can purchase a treat to be distributed during lunch for your child. On Treat Day you will still send a lunch and morning snack with your child. Notification of these options are sent home via backpack mail and purchases are made via MemberHub. Late orders and/or written submissions are not accepted. 

Q: Where can I get a list of email address for the parents in my child's class?

A:  Contact information for each family is updated when they register for Givebacks. Access to the Online School Directory is only available to paid members of the PTA.
