WELCOME TO HIGH GREENBURY HOLIDAY CLUB

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our very own High Greenbury Farm Holiday Club this summer in our woodland! Great outdoor fun for children aged 4 - 12 years of age!

Lucy Atkinson, a fully DBS checked qualified primary school teacher, will be running the sessions. She is passionate about encouraging children to have fun in the outdoors. She has provided childcare in the local area for over 10 years prior to which she taught for four years after qualifying as a teacher. 

The children will benefit greatly from the hands-on learning opportunities presented in the woodland environment. In an age where many children have few opportunities to be outdoors, it offers them a way to learn and experience a broad curriculum in our woodland setting. 

Even when school is out our children never stop learning and there's no better environment to support your child's growth than a natural one. 

Outdoor learning is being increasingly recognised as playing an integral role in holistic child development. With benefits including improved language and communication skills, increased self esteem and confidence, more motivation and greater concentration to name a few. All that besides, it’s good clean, or rather not so clean, fun and has something incredible to offer every child. 

Our holiday clubs follows an ethos of facilitating child-led learning and discovery in the outdoors. Everything we offer builds on the innate curiosity and sense of wonder that the natural environment brings out in children of all ages.

No two days are ever the same at our holiday clubs. We take our lead from the interests of the children and the conditions on the day, exploring adventures like environmental art, woodland crafts and games, campfire cooking, journeying through the woods and of course, free play.

The development of softer skills like cooperation, empathy, emotional intelligence and leadership are elegantly weaved throughout the sessions by our experienced leader.

Holiday club days at High Greenbury offer an exciting opportunity to play, learn and make new friends, whatever the weather!
