　これは、2025年8月に秋蒔小麦を収穫したあとに植えた緑肥のひまわりです。秋蒔小麦とは、秋に種を撒いて翌年の夏頃に収穫をする小麦のことです。

　網走産の小麦は、きたほなみという品種で主に乾燥うどんの原料になって、スーパーなどで売っています。また、僕のおすすめは、乾燥麺で、作ったうどんを食べることです。農協のアンテナショップで小麦を使った商品を食べることも買うこともできます。

　このひまわりは、小麦を収穫後に翌年の作物の栄養分として植えたものです。それを緑肥といいます。この緑肥のヒマワリと知床の山とオホーツク海の景色のバランスが素晴らしいです。観光バスも通る道路ぞいの畑になるべく植えているので観光客の癒やしになっていると思います。

　僕は、このひまわりがずっときれいだなと思っていて緑肥やいろいろなことを知ってほしいのでぜひ来て下さい。

These are "Green Manure" sunflowers. They were planted after harvesting winter wheat in August 2025. Winter wheat is sown in autumn and harvested the following summer.

Abashiri’s wheat is called "Kitahonami." It is used for dried Udon noodles sold in supermarkets. My favorite is eating Udon made from these dried noodles! You can eat and buy wheat products at the local JA shop.

These sunflowers give nutrients to the soil for next year’s crops. We call this "Green Manure." The view of the sunflowers, the Shiretoko mountains, and the Okhotsk Sea is amazing.

They are planted along the roads where tour buses pass to make visitors happy. I have always thought these flowers are beautiful. Please come and see them!
