AS I wander through the Cumbrian landscape, I discover lost paths, stories, traditions and other delights which I duly note in my 'Hodgepodge' - a notebook with reminders of places to revisit or perhaps investigate further. During the Covid lockdowns of 2020/21 I used my enforced spare time to tidy-up my notebook and hand-bind a few copies. I won't be making many (it takes a lot of time!) but when copies are available they will be on my Folksy shop. NB. This was previously called 'Hodgepodge' but I have now retitled it, My Cumbrian Notebook.
AS I wander through the Cumbrian landscape, I discover lost paths, stories, traditions and other delights which I duly note down in a notebook with reminders of places to revisit or perhaps investigate further. During the Covid lockdowns of 2020/21 I used my enforced spare time to tidy-up my notebook and hand-bind a few copies. The text is handwritten (so yes, you'll have to struggle to read my handwriting!), the pictures are hand-drawn and even the binding of the book is stitched by hand. This was a labour of love enabling me to collect so many of the lovely stories and ancient paths found in Cumbria. The Hodgepodge includes boggles (ghosts), fairies, lonnings (lanes), corpse roads, named stones and much more. The full list of contents is:-

ONE of my hobbies is bookbinding and this book is printed on quality paper and handbound. The book is hardback, cloth bound with endtape and bookmark. There is a dustjacket. The book is slightly smaller than A5 and has 78 pages.
