After graduating from college, I joined the Forensic Labs in Khartoum and I worked there as a DNA analyst and crime scene investigator.

I played a pivotal role in advancing forensic biology by:

• Transitioning from traditional biological identification methods to cutting-edge DNA fingerprinting technology using AmpFLSTR Identifiler and Yfiler markers.

• Performing DNA profiling on biological evidence collected from crime scenes.

• Utilizing statistical methods to evaluate the strength of DNA evidence and provide accurate interpretations.

• Providing expert testimony in criminal cases, explaining the significance of DNA evidence and its implications for the case.

• Actively participating in training programs, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on the latest advancements in forensic science.

My work contributed to the investigation and prosecution in a number of cases (sexual assault, child swab, disputed paternity, airplane crash, and mass killing), ensuring justice for victims and their families.
