Born in Khartoum (at the confluence of the White and Blue Niles), I grew up surrounded by Sudan's vibrant culture and rich history. My education and travels around the world exposed me to diverse cultures and sparked a passion for genomics research that increases the representation of Africans in genomic studies to improve our understanding of genetic variation and health disparities.
