I worked for Cummins South Africa (Pty) Ltd, as an intern. The long hours of showing customers our different engines and making coffees soon paid off. Then I was given a part-time job as a Business Development Center (BDC) Customer Care, Junior.
Normally, I manage web leads and the main goal was to schedule meetings with sales staff at the local depot. The working environment was by far the best room in which I operated and it taught me industy the cooperative side to the output of the diesel engine.
I worked part-time, as I finally left for a better position at BMW Sandton because it worked better with my the work in my Bachelors.
I currently work from my home. I go to the main office only when there is a new stock that needs a completely new sales approach. Our company prides itself on "Being in the office, outside of the office." We are always connected to each other and this often allows for instant and quick decision making in critical moments.
Working at BMW Sandton has been a very rare experience, it has allowed me to step into the line of work that I personally want to be in and it has given me a greater insight in the modern. South African Motor Industry.
I am currently working closely with my manager on expanding the franchise in to less economically developed countries such as Zimbabwe, due to how rich their market is becoming. We plan on taking few of our top-tier stock and seeing how the Zimbabwean market will respond.
