Informative speaking is a 10 minute prepared speech that is composed to describe any particular topic. The speech's purpose is to inform and entertain the audience about a specific topic. Speeches follow a format of Introduction, three body paragraphs (foundation, extension, implication), and a conclusion.
Original Oratory is a 5-10 minute persuasive speech about any moral issue. OO speeches typically talk about a social/philosophical issue. Students should find a topic that is unique to themselves/something that they have a passion for. Students should follow the OO pyramid guideline that is linked here.
