We looking for volunteers to join our committees - you'll never be alone, you'll be trained and there’s always a spot for you! Be part of the team that makes music happen for our students!

Drama Club Committee - Help coordinate with director(s) for cast meals, cast grams and concessions for plays, coordinate sign up genius for more volunteers during the event
Whippurpalooza - Help on the committee that plans Whippupalooza (May 2, 2026 - End of year concert and fundraiser) including gathering donations, working the event, coordinate sign up genius for help during the event
Musical - Communicate with director to help plan cast meals (during tech week), concessions & cast grams for during the musical, coordinate sign up genius for help during the performance weekend
Fundraising - Help coordinate fundraisers
Senior Scholarship - Work with the committee head to help decided which seniors get a scholarship from HMP by watching video submissions and scoring them (Can not have a 2026 Senior).
ILLINOIS RAILWAY MUSEUM OPPORTUNITIES
The Illinois Railway Museum offers Hampshire students (Middle school and High School) fundraising opportunities to earn money towards school based functions. The opportunities come from special events at the museum: Happy Holiday Railway, Bunny Trolley Hop and Easter Train and Thomas the Train event. Students and parents volunteer their time doing various jobs around the museum- being elves and serving cocoa, running games outside the depot, managing lines to see the Easter Bunny, selling concessions during Thomas, etc.
The museum donates money to the Hampshire Music Parents or Hampshire Middle School for Washington DC trip. The money belongs to the organization and is held and distributed on the students/families behalf. High schoolers can volunteer on their own, no parent/guardian is required. Anyone can volunteer on behalf of a student, though. Students and parents/guardians can sign up for shifts and allocate their time towards Tri-M or NHS volunteer hours OR IRM will donate $10/hour to your HS tour account. Tour account money can now be used for in school lessons, music fees or music sponsored field trips.
Shifts are outlined on the Sign Up Genius because they change based on what days the museum is open. Sometimes lunch is offered, depending on the event and length of the shift.
When signing up, do NOT use your D300 email address- you will not receive updates and information. Please pay careful attention to the dates and times. If you would like to help all day, please sign up for both time slots.
