Héctor García de Marina

Assistant professor at the Unmanned Aerial Systems Center

University of Southern Denmark

Brief bio

I graduated in Electronics Engineering at the Faculty of Physics of the Universidad Complutense of Madrid in 2008, and I obtained the Master's degree in systems & control at the Polytechnic faculty of the University of Alcalá de Henares in 2011. I wrote my PhD thesis in Distributed formation control algorithms for autonomous robots at the University of Groningen in 2016.

From 2016 and until the end of 2017, I held a postdoctoral position at the École Nationale de l'Aviation Civile in Toulouse where I focused my research on swarms of aerial unmanned vehicles while contributing to Paparazzi, the open-source autopilot. Since February 2018, I am an Assistant professor in the Unmanned Aerial Systems Center at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense.
