This guide explains how you can selectively delete different types of your personal data in the Cuedo App, without having to delete your entire account.
The Cuedo App gives you control over your personal data. This guide explains how to selectively delete specific types of data without deleting your entire account.
What will be deleted:
Individual profile photos you've uploaded
Photo metadata and crop settings
What will be retained:
Other photos in your gallery (if you only delete one photo)
Your profile remains active
How to delete:
Open the Cuedo App
Go to your Profile (tap your profile picture in the top navigation)
Tap on the photo you want to remove
Tap the trash icon or Delete Photo button
Confirm deletion
Immediate effect: The photo is permanently removed from our servers and will no longer appear in your profile or be visible to other users. Note: There is no restoration process for deleted accounts; see “Delete your account”.
Note on exceptions: In rare cases, minimal data may be temporarily retained to meet legal obligations or fraud detection. The content of deleted photos is not retained.
What can be deleted/modified:
Bio text
Interests and values
Dating intentions
Fun facts and prompts
Cultural preferences (favorite artists, songs, movies, books)
Height and other personal details
Spoken languages
Deal breakers
What will be retained:
Essential account information (email, password)
Match history and conversations (unless separately deleted)
How to modify or clear:
Open the Cuedo App
Go to your Profile
Tap Edit Profile
Clear or modify the fields you want to change
Leave fields blank to remove that information
Tap Save
Effect: Changes take effect immediately. Clearing a field removes that information from your profile.
What will be deleted:
Individual messages you've sent
Message attachments (photos, GIFs)
Message reactions
What will be retained:
The conversation remains active
Messages from your match are not deleted
Match connection stays intact
How to delete:
Open a conversation in the Matches tab
Long-press on the message you want to delete
Tap Delete Message
Confirm deletion
Effect: The message is permanently deleted from the conversation. Your match will see "[Message deleted]" in place of the original message. Note: With full account deletion, all your messages are permanently removed from all conversations.
Note: Currently, only individual message deletion is supported. To delete entire conversations, you must use Say Goodbye with that user (which removes the conversation from both sides).
Legal note: In rare cases, minimal data may be temporarily retained where required by law. The content of deleted messages is not retained.
What will be deleted:
The match connection
All messages in that conversation (from both sides)
Attention points allocated to that match
The conversation thread
What will be retained:
Your profile remains active
Other matches are unaffected
You may see this person in Discovery again in the future
How to delete:
Go to Matches tab
Open the conversation you want to remove
Tap the menu icon (⋯) in the top right
Select Say Goodbye
Confirm your decision
Effect: The match and all associated messages are permanently deleted. The other person will see that you've said goodbye and can no longer message you.
Legal note: In rare cases, minimal data may be temporarily retained to comply with legal obligations or for fraud detection. Conversation content is not retained.

Location history

Your city/region (shown to other users)

How to restrict location access:
iOS:
Go to device Settings
Scroll down to Cuedo
Tap Location
Select Never to revoke location access
Android:
Go to device Settings
Tap Apps → Cuedo
Tap Permissions → Location
Select Don't allow
Effect: The app can no longer access your precise location. If you delete the location field in your profile, no location data is retained.
Consent withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent to process precise location data at any time (e.g., by contacting privacy@apmenta.com). Withdrawal applies going forward.
What will be deleted:
Pending signal allocations on profiles you haven't matched with
Signals not yet committed to matches
Signals tied to active matches
Your daily interaction limits reset normally
Send an email from your registered address to privacy@apmenta.com with the subject "Selective deletion: pending signal allocations"
Include your user ID (or registered email) and the date(s) of the pending signals you want deleted
We will process your request within 30 days (usually much faster)
Note: Once a mutual match occurs, the signal allocation is permanently tied to that match. It cannot be selectively removed by request; you would need to say goodbye (which deletes the entire conversation).

Your profile and matches
All personal data in the database
How to clear:
Go to device settings
Find Cuedo in your apps list
Tap Storage → Clear Cache (Android) or Offload App (iOS)
Effect: Local temporary files are deleted. Your account and data remain intact.
Note: This only affects local files on your device. Server-side logs and aggregated analytics may be retained for a limited period as permitted by law.

Note on legal exceptions: In rare cases, minimal data may be retained for ongoing legal proceedings or fraud detection as required by law. The content of deleted photos or messages is not retained.
