COA Guidelines & Procedures: One-Time Cleansing of Property, Plant and Equipment Account Balances for ALL Government Institutions
COA Circular No. 2020-006 issued on January 31, 2020 is your government institution’s opportunity for a One-Time Cleansing of Property, Plant and Equipment Account Balances. This is intended for the continuous awareness, prevention and resolving perennial COA issue on the inaccuracies of organization's Property, Plant and Equipment account balances in the financial statement. Consequently, compliance with this will have a positive impact on performance and overall incentives for the whole organization.
In this regard, may we request your office to disseminate and share our invitation to all the members and key management officers within your head office, attached agencies / bureaus/ regional offices particularly in your accounting, finance, Internal Audit Unit (IAU), Internal Audit Services (IAS), administrative and property departments to attend our special online training entitled “COA Guidelines & Procedures: One-Time Cleansing of PPE Account Balances for ALL Government Institutions” scheduled on Tuesday & Wednesday, November 5 & 6, 2024 at 1:30PM via Zoom.
This two-session training will provide ALL attendees the compliance guidelines, proper procedures and correct interpretation for a one-time, “big-time” opportunity to de-recognize non-existing/ missing PPEs and/ or cleanse discrepancies or unreconciled balances in PPE accounts.
This is applicable to all branches of government such as the executive, legislative and the judiciary including GOCCs, GFIs, LGUs, electric cooperatives, water districts, government hospitals, state and local universities and colleges.
