H.H.S Best Buddies Program
The Best-Buddies program aims to cultivate genuine friendships and allyship between high school students with and without learning differences and/or disabilities. Adolescence can be a challenging time for all young people, and the Best Buddies High School program aims to break down social barriers and create a sense of belonging for all students. This program is launching at Hightstown High School, and we welcome all students who may benefit from it.
Through Best Buddies, students with and without learning differences will be paired to develop one-to-one relationships built on mutual interests, communication, and respect. Together, they will enjoy activities chosen together, such as sharing meals and/or attending sporting events twice a month, both during and outside of school hours. The program also includes group activities and projects that promote the growth and development of all participants.
