How I work:
My 50 minute sessions can involve guided meditations, imagery work, creative work, miniatures, poetry, letter writing or simply talking. All research seems to agree that the therapeutic relationship plays the biggest role in helping people make positive changes to their lives. So, the most important thing is that you feel safe and supported - especially if you're experiencing distress.
I will maintain your confidentiality at all times as all counsellors and psychotherapists should. If I feel like you need more urgent or specialist help than I can offer, I'll discuss with you ways of accessing this. It's only in the most extreme of circumstances that I would seek support on your behalf without your express agreement.
If you're anxious about an initial session, this is something we can discuss over the phone or by text before we meet.
See my qualifications section if you're interested in my technical approach.
