What we achieve as individuals, is in fact the efforts of many around us; Our Unsung Heroes. These are people who go about their days quietly and diligently carrying out tasks, but making an impact. Look closely, you will see such Heroes everywhere.
Our simple question
Who's your Hero? Who do you believe deserves recognition for their contributions to your life and to the lives of those around you?
Did a high school teacher inspire you to pursue a fulfilling career? Has a parent or grandparent always shown you unconditional love? Is your spouse unwaveringly by your side through both the good times and the bad? Do you have a sibling you have always looked up to as a role model? Maybe a postal worker always knows just what to say to lift your spirits whenever you see them. Does a volunteer at your place of worship exemplify the altruistic nature of your beliefs? Your Hero could be your housekeeper or even an active member of your community; anyone, anywhere, that has performed seemingly ordinary acts that have had an extraordinary impact.
Whatever their setting, Heroes have answered a calling to assist and help another being in days of need, weeks of care and in final hours. We owe them thanks and gratitude.
We want to collect their stories. We want to spread awareness about their efforts and the causes they support.
Here, we offer a stage to recognize, and celebrate them.
