Welcome to our brand new (as of early 2024) website! On this site you can find everything and anything about Hermitzine, its moderation team, past archives, and more. We're so happy you're here!
This website is a continual work in progress, so make sure to check back every now and then to see what Hermitzine is up to.
Hermitzine (a portmanteau of "Hermitcraft" and "fanzine") is a not-for-profit zine centered around the Hermitcraft Minecraft community. A zine is a hobbyist-created and self-published small book or magazine based around a niche interest. If it’s for a fandom (like in this case), it often gets called a fanzine.
In our case, we’re focused on the Hermitcraft minecraft server! We bring artists and writers together to create illustrations, comics, and written pieces for a themed collection that we format and assemble into a digital PDF you can download and enjoy. We’ve been around since 2019 and have published nine editions so far, each with a different theme! You can check out our previous editions here if you’re curious what a finished Hermitzine winds up looking like.
It's all made by fans, for fans. This website is where you can find any and all information about the zine itself, learn more about the mods running the zine, and check out the past editions of the zine. Enjoy!
Please feel free to explore this site in its entirety to learn more about Hermitzine, view our zine archive, learn about the moderation team, and more. Check out out socials listed below to see more Hermitzine content, catch up with what we're currently working on, and more!
That's right — Hermitzine is the oldest Hermitcraft-related fanzine. We've been around for five years! Since 2019, we've published eight Hermitzine editions, all completely free to download and enjoy. That's a lot of awesome content made by ultra-passionate fans to enjoy at absolutely no expense.
If you're used to downloading our content from Gumroad, don't worry! We're still going to to upload our future editions there, along with archiving them here. Check out both our Gumroad and our new archive using the links below.
The answer is: everywhere!
Hermitcraft is an incredible community for many reasons, but one of the most important is how diverse its fanbase is — in age, nationality, gender, and more. It's no surprise that Hermitzine would be the same!
We're always looking to expand as a zine series, including with our reach and amount of people participating per edition. If zinemaking sounds interesting to you, head over to our socials to see when we're starting up the next edition. Apply and you might just be added to the growing numbers below!
