The Language spoken in the Republic of Moldova is also Romanian, as well as in Romania. This is what is stipulated in the Declaration of Independence of 1991.
Still, in the Constitution of Moldova it is named 'Moldovan' - the way it was called in the Soviet times. But this is not correct - fact mentioned many times by the members of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.
But as Moldova is between East and West, and a part of its population consider they are Moldovans, not Romanians, the language is also a debate. Scientists have proved many times, when brought into discussion, that it is exactly the same language as the one spoken in Romania. Of course, there are regional variations in Romania, too, but it is the same language.
And out of all Romance languages, Romanian is considered the closest to the Latin language, in all its forms.
Romanian is spoken in Romania and in Moldova. It is part of the Indo-European family of languages.
