The International alliance for the protection of heritage (ALIPH) is a global fund dedicated to protecting cultural heritage threatened by conflict, crises, climate change, and natural disasters. Since its creation in Geneva in 2017, ALIPH has supported heritage professionals and local communities in protecting and restoring museums, historic sites, monuments, collections, and intangible heritage around the world. This is done with local institutions as much as possible to build their long-term capacity to protect their own collections. As a first responder in times of crisis, ALIPH provides rapid support to help prevent heritage from being lost forever.
Guided by its spirit of "Action, Action, Action," ALIPH takes concrete measures to preserve heritage in challenging circumstances and is committed to protecting the richness and diversity of the world’s cultural heritage. Currently, ALIPH has supported 640 projects in 65 countries, with 193 operators and a total budget of $138 million. Its work includes repairs, rehabilitation, conservation, training, and the creation of replicas for exhibition and show, including 3D-printed replicas that can document and reproduce vulnerable cultural objects.
