Materials Design and Reaction Mechanisms

Jeong Research Group, Department of Electronic Engineering

Gachon University, South Korea

About

Our group's research goal is to create a sustainable energy future through insights gained from scientific discovery and process engineering. Our approach involves combining computational modeling and experiments to gain insights into fundamental problems at the intersection of materials, processes, and products. On the application side, our interests specialize in the interfacial design of electrolytes and electrodes for next-generation batteries and defect engineering for semiconductor applications.

How to contact Heonjae

Email is the best way. I will do my best to respond to you within a reasonable time frame.

To future colleagues

We warmly welcome your interest and look forward to potentially meeting you soon. Our research themes align well with diverse academic backgrounds, including electronic engineering, chemical engineering, materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, and chemistry. If you have a clear vision and a passion for active research in energy storage/conversion and semiconductor systems, please feel free to reach out to Heonjae.

Group openings (Spring 2024)

Our lab is open to both Gachon-affiliated and external students, with diverse cultural and personal backgrounds. We are interested in offering a particular invitation extended to enthusiastic undergraduates. For graduate students, we offer research assistantships (tuition fee waiver along with stipend). The availability of postdoctoral positions is subject to our current grant status, and we encourage interested candidates to contact Heonjae for more information. If you are interested in joining us, please email your CV with your research interest.
