Interviewing Skills & Resumes

Recommended grades: 7-12

Looking for a way to develop your students’ knowledge in professional and life-long learning skills? The interviewing lesson is perfect for you! Students will go through a series of activities, such as practicing their handshakes, creating elevator pitches, dressing for the interview, and what to do/not to do during an interview.

    • Students must complete a survey at the end of the lesson

Real Money, Real World

Recommended grades: 6-8

Real Money, Real World is a financial literacy program. Through hands-on lessons and activities, youth will learn the importance of making smart financial choices. Their knowledge will be put to the test through an interactive spending simulation that provides the opportunity to make lifestyle and budget choices similar adults in their late 20s.

This innovative program is designed to help middle school youth explore what it takes to get their first paying job.



Entrepreneurship

Youth discover the world of entrepreneurship with this multi-level guide. Activities assist youth in learning what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Youth practice the skills needed to function successfully as an entrepreneur and explore types of businesses, products and pricing, marketing, partnership, agreements and contracts. Youth create a business plan and start their own business. Helper's guide also available.

Financial Literacy

Together with TD Ameritrade, we’re bringing financial empowerment and education to young people and families across the country. This suite of research-backed financial literacy resources guides educators through university-developed curricula that help youth build the skills and behaviors they need to achieve financial health, no matter their starting point.
