Biography

Henna Yauger found a flyer for Mainstream Lessons at the Country Cut-ups in Boring, Oregon, in 2016. She proceeded to take her first Mainstream lesson while she was a freshman in high school. That same night, she saw Scott Zinzer on stage calling and decided that she wanted to become a caller. The summer after lessons, she started to learn how to call from Scott and took Waltz Phase One & Two.

By 2019, she was dancing Two Step and was awarded a scholarship from Callerlab for caller school. She chose Mike Sikorsky’s Caller School from June 12th to 15th, 2019.

Since beginning her calling journey, she has taught schools, lessons, one-nighters, and both Plus and Mainstream dances.

In 2023, she recorded two songs. On FineTune, she recorded “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” by Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani with Wade Driver. On Goldwing, she recorded “Gypsy” by Fleetwood Mac, her first singing call. She later had the honor of recording a song produced by Wade Driver on Lonestar Records called “Gonna Get Along Without You Now,” originally recorded by Patience and Prudence. Her latest release is “Make Your Own Kind of Music” on FineTune Records, originally performed by Mama Cass of The Mamas & the Papas.

In 2024, from August 5th through 10th, she attended the Advanced Singing Call School in Willis, Texas, taught by Wade Driver and Shauna Kaaria, after being invited by Wade Driver on a scholarship.

Her mission is to recruit new dancers and record innovative music that appeals to a wider variety of dancers. She is available for Fun Dances, Birthday Parties, Weddings,  Mainstream to A1 Dances, Lessons, and Demos. She is available for bookings anywhere in the world.

She is a registered Callerlab member, a member of Nortex Caller Association, Houston Callers Association, East Texas Callers Association, and Texas Callers Association, and is BMI/ASCAP licensed.

Outside of square dancing, she works in public safety and is pursuing growth in that field. She shares life with her German Shepherd, enjoys traveling when she can, and tinkers with car audio. She also unwinds with gaming, keeping a laid back and balanced life.
