From a volunteer teacher in a Jakarta orphanage to teaching at Yale University and University of Wisconsin-Madison on a Fulbright grant, language has been my passport.

I’ve helped hundreds of professionals to swap hesitation for confident communication in boardrooms and beyond.

I’ve also guided scholarship hunters to craft personal essays and top scores on tests like TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, and more.

Corporate Trainer

I design English programs for global corporations and government agencies using projects to raise fluency fast. List of my past clients.

Colloquial Indonesian Researcher-Teacher

I build courses on spoken Indonesian to reveal authentic slang and discourse. The same approach powers my Facebook page Colloquial Indonesian.

Linguist — Syntax & Phonology

I have a magna cum laude M.A. in applied linguistics and a B.Ed. in language teaching, and I served duties as a language ambassador.

As a lifelong language learner, I have a childlike fascination with language systems. That 'beginner feeling' enables me to feel the struggle my students are experiencing.

My research (nine papers and a book chapter) bridges theory and practice in language teaching, sociolinguistics, translation, and lexicogrammar.

My experience in over 25 countries influences all my lessons, helping students understand the universal principles of different languages.

Study with me if you want:

1. Targeted exam tactics & weekly analytics.

2. 24/7 online practice tests & game-style drills.

3. Authentic insight into colloquial Indonesian by a native-speaker researcher & teacher.
