Attention Parents of 8th grade students,
High School Choice is right around the corner. In the next few days, you will receive a flyer for the High School Choice Parent meeting. At this meeting, you will learn about the HS choice process, applications, composite scores and so much more. Please stay tuned for the exact date and flyer.
In the meantime, here is some information for you to note and some important dates to remember!
DATES TO REMEMBER !
October through December – Schools hold open houses and shadow days
Late November– Choice Guides and applications distributed to schools
Composite Scores available- Week after Thanksgiving Break (November 2020)
December 4th – Virtual School Choice Fair launches
January 19, 2021 : Auditions for BSA ( Baltimore School of the Arts)
January 22nd – Choice applications due
March 5th – Students begin receiving placement letters; 2nd round of the Choice process begins
Important tip ! Turn in complete your child's High School Choice application On time!
The HS Choice application will be available online via the Parent Portal
High School Choice Guides will be available on the Baltimore City Schools Website.
