How to Help Ukraine I (What to Demand)
Demand actions from your governments! The Ukrainian Army is now doing everything possible to protect the country, but they need more support. Their function is defense, but sanctions are the attack.
Demand to impose a no-fly zone over Ukrainian skies, before thousands more die from Russian rockets and bombs. Russian bombardments already amount a long list of war crimes, this must stop.
Demand to transfer MiG fighter jets from Poland and other East European countries to Ukraine. Ukrainian pilots know how to fly them.
Demand shipment of artillery, armored vehicles and more anti-missiles systems. This invasion cannot be stopped with only defensive weaponry.
Demand your government to introduce full trade embargo including gas and oil. As of today, 03/24, Russia takes in up to $7 billion every week from its oil and gas exports. This money is used to fund the war. If Western politicians still do not dare to impose the toughest of sanctions now, they may never dare. It is now important to put maximum pressure on politicians who may simply lack courage.
Demand that your country officially and quickly recognizes Putin & Co as a war criminals. The US has already made steps in this direction, but Europe has not. The reason it is important is that it will prevent going back to business as usual with Russia even if there is a ceasefire. Western institutions do not allow business as normal with war criminals.
Demand sanctions on top 200 “siloviki” from services like FSB, GRU, FSO, etc. and their families. Those are true masters of life in Russia.
Demand to close all sea-ports to all Russian ships.
Demand complete diplomatic isolation of Russia, it was proved over and over again the diplomacy doesn’t work with current Russian government. If putin calls your government then don’t pick up the phone.
Demand that big pharma (Pfizer, Merck, Moderna, GSK, Novartis, Lilly, J&J, etc) and medical device companies (Medtronic, Stryker, Abbott, Baxter, etc.) completely exit the Russian market. Pharmacological companies have been among the most reluctant to do it, and nobody even talked about medical device companies so far. This will be immediately felt by Russian elites. Those companies need to be publicly shamed as much as possible until they exit Russia.
