In this review of the best in-home party lights, I will share with you the pro’s and con’s of various lights so you can make up your mind whether you should purchase or not. Like every other story of the past few months, this list was started out of necessity from quarantine. I found myself stuck in my room, day after day waiting for something to lift my spirits. I reflected on what I was missing from my life, and it was the excitement and joy a party brings me. So if I couldn’t go to a party, I would bring the party to me. I started researching the available party lights on Amazon and came up with this list to help me decide which party lights I should buy. At the end, I will reveal which lights I bought and which stayed in my cart.
What is a party light?
A non-traditional source of lighting that puts people in the mood to dance, let go, or relax. Whether you're an aspiring DJ or DJ dad, looking to keep the little ones entertained. A party light can help lift everyone's mood. Karaoke, weddings, bar-mitzvahs, special occasions, dances, or just for the fun of it!
The easiest way to transform any room into “The Room” LED light strips offer you an exorbitant amount of versatility. From lights that dance to the music, to re-creating the light of a flickering candle for date night. I have had these Govee lights in my life for the past two years and haven’t regretted them for a second. Millions of color variations, brightness controls, timer controls, built-in switch, remote, and Bluetooth connected app. You would be hard-pressed to find a better-integrated product. Ask Alexa or Google to turn off the lights for you, or make it a part of a routine. These lights come with an adhesive backing, but I have found that using painters tape holds the lights just as well. I prefer the painter's tape because it will never leave a mark, then I can move the lights around if I decide to change them up. Additionally, you can but one strand and keep expanding as your lighting needs require. These lights should be the first item on your list if you are looking to expand the ambiance of a room.
Cool light show! Instantly go back to the ’80s with this funky and sound responsive led laser light. The effects are really cool, just look at the images attached. This brilliant light has that disco era feel to it, and unlike most other laser lights available, this has a plethora of different modes that you will not get bored of. It's so small and can fill up a room with lights. I like that it's powered from a 5V USB port, making it extremely portable. A portable USB power bank does the trick to avoid running wires so you don’t need an outlet and can set it up anywhere. I have a soft spot in my heart for a cool laser light show. I was so close to buying this for my apartment but hesitated because of the one known flaw of lasers. You’re not supposed to look directly into them and having this in the corner just wouldn't work for me. But if you can make it work, DO BUY!
Seatank created the heavens above with this great little party light. Perfect for indoor decoration, this has 10 lighting modes to set the scene as an ocean wave projector, romantic mood light, night lamp at the bedside. 10 lighting modes can be mixed and matched with the twinkling star-like laser. It can be used for outside events and it is bright enough for any occasion. This little do it all machine even lets you play music, create a great atmosphere when you need it, and make people feel comfortable. It plays directly from the unit without requiring you to give up my phone for the whole night. The remote control is a very handy addition because you don't have to be close to make it work. The light is very beautiful, and I like the laser because it points in every direction.
The DMX 512 really gives you a ton of options in terms of the experience you wish to create. With 8 LEDs and 4 laser beams that rhythmically syncs with the music, this all in one machine does all the heavy lifting for you. When the party is going and you want to mix up the lights, just reach for the easy to operate remote, which is color-coded with icons that makes it viewable in the dark with the stage light. A great versatile party light that also has a built-in fan to keep it cool. This is more for the person looking to get paid to put on a party, but you can enjoy it in your home if you have a room dedicated to hosting.
Sleep under the stars with this great display of rotating galaxy lights. Whole room coverage is a hallmark of this projector, hitting the ceiling and walls with a fab light display. Plug the cord (which is a sensible length) into an outlet and use the remote from there. The colors are bright, vivid, and ever-changing meaning you will always see something new. The nebula projector is small and discrete, just set it in the corner and watch the heavens above. I choose this for my apartment as it offers cool lasers and a mix of funky space galaxies.
