Frequently Asked Questions
What is FitCoach?
FitCoach helps you train at home with supported bodyweight movements. Use your iPhone camera for AI-powered rep counting and hold timing, receive form cues as you move, and review your training progress over time.
How do I start a workout?
Open FitCoach, choose a supported movement or your planned workout, and follow the on-screen setup instructions. Place your iPhone in portrait orientation where it can see your body, then start your workout.
How should I set up my camera for the best results?
Place your iPhone securely in portrait orientation and step back until your full body is visible in the camera view. A clear, well-lit space and enough room to move will help FitCoach provide more reliable rep counting and form guidance.
How does FitCoach use my camera?
FitCoach processes live camera frames on your iPhone to detect body landmarks for rep counting, hold timing, and form guidance. FitCoach does not record, save, or upload camera video.
Can FitCoach help with my form?
Yes. During supported workouts, FitCoach provides real-time voice and on-screen cues to help you adjust your form. These cues are general fitness guidance only—not medical advice. Use your own judgment, and stop exercising if you feel pain, dizziness, or unusual discomfort.
Where can I see my workout results?
After a workout, you can review your Workout Summary. FitCoach also lets you view your workout history, streaks, and progress trends in the app.
Can I track my progress with photos?
Yes. You can capture progress photos in FitCoach and compare them side by side. Progress photos are stored locally in the app and are not uploaded to FitCoach servers.. If you export a photo to Apple Photos, that exported copy is managed separately in your photo library.
Can I connect Apple Health?
Yes. Apple Health is optional. If you choose to connect it, FitCoach may read selected profile details to prefill your local profile and may write completed workouts to Apple Health. You can review or change permissions anytime in the Health app or iOS Settings.
Do I need an account to use FitCoach?
No. FitCoach version 1.0 does not require an account or sign-in. Your profile, workout history, workout summaries, body metrics, and progress photos are stored locally on your device.
How do I delete my FitCoach data?
You can delete individual progress photos in FitCoach. To remove local FitCoach data from your device, delete the app. This does not remove photos you previously exported to Apple Photos; delete those separately in the Photos app.
