Any luck on this? I seem to be having a similar issue with CSG 3.3 and XA 6.5 and XA5 servers. My problem is specifically when I try to enable SSL using server settings in the WI 5.4 console. I have also enabled the application I'm testing to use SSL and enabled SSL at the IIS level. I get the error Cannot start app. Please contact your help desk. If I turn off SSL everything seems ok

I'm testing a new XenApp system and the Web Interface works fine as others are saying but the Citrix Receiver i get the Error message Cannot start app. Please contact your help desk. I'm testing this on a Windows XP PC that has the local Host file to point the URL to a separate external IP for testing. I'm wondering if this is what is causing the problem.


I really want to make sure that as soon as i migrate from the current system to the new one that the Citrix Receiver works for our iPad users. I would test it on an iPad but i don't think you can change the local Host file on them.


If anyone has got this working please let me know.

I am being a freelancer on certain company with own laptop. They have provided me with Citrix Desktop and VDI. Desktop works fine and dandy but I am only allowed to use browser with it so I requested to get VDI experience as well. However, when starting the VDI I am getting plain and dull "Cannot start app. Please contact your help desk." Their SD cannot help me because of my own laptop but stated that the problem is most likely within the receiver.

I have went through google and bing (yeah I am desperate) with this but none of the answers have helped me to get this working. I am unable to find anything relevant from event viewer and the Citrix installation folder does not seem to have any logs.

You're getting this error in the web browser? If so, then your virtual desktop is probably not booted or some other error in your datacenter. Your Citrix team should be able to look in StoreFront and Delivery Controller logs to see the problem.

There are two parts to the connection: web browser, and ICA. If the error is in the web browser, then StoreFront was not able to generate an .ICA file that your Workspace app can use to connect. That means the virtual desktop in the datacenter is not booted or something like that. If the error was a popup (not in the browser), then that would be a different problem.

I'm new to power apps so I hope I can explain this well. I created a help desk app through the template and edited lots of details. When I tried to edit the admin portion of the app, it continually tells me I don't have admin access. "We were unable to give you access as an admin as your account does not have admin privileges." I do have admin access per my IT guy, so I can't figure out why it won't let me access or edit that part of my app. I can create tickets all day long on the user side. I have complete access to edit and change all the user side as well. I just can't access anything on the admin side. TIA!
