Kurz gesagt

In short
"Doctor Visit Made Easy" stores all entries only on your iPhone. There is no user account, no advertising, no usage analytics and no transfer of your health data to me or to third parties. I cannot see your entries.
What the app stores
What you enter yourself: names of up to three people, doctors and practices (with phone and address if you enter them), visits, questions and notes, "What the Doctor Said", medications and whether they were taken on the current day, blood pressure and pulse readings, and your reminder settings.
This information is stored only on your iPhone, protected by the iPhone's encryption. It is excluded from iCloud Backup and computer backups.
The app also keeps the identifiers of deleted entries (without their content), so that deleted entries do not come back when an overview is added.
Backup
With "Create Backup", you create an encrypted backup file yourself. You choose where it goes (for example via AirDrop to your Mac, onto a USB drive or into a folder of your choice) in the iOS share sheet. The app itself does not store anything in iCloud.
The app creates the backup password. It is stored in your iCloud Keychain (an Apple service) so that it is available on a new iPhone with the same Apple Account. The keychain contains only this password, no health data.
Sending and adding an overview
With "Send Overview for …", the app creates a PDF file with the information of a single person, for example for family members who go along to the doctor. Invisibly, the file contains all of that person's information (including past appointments and "What the Doctor Said") so that the recipient's app can add it. The file is not encrypted. You choose where it goes (for example Messages, Mail, AirDrop) in the iOS share sheet; the app never sends anything on its own and I do not receive the file. Anyone who receives the file can read everything in it – only send it to people you trust. If the recipient opens the file with the app, the information is only added after confirmation; nothing is deleted.
Calendar
"Add to Calendar" opens your iPhone's calendar with a prepared entry. It only contains "Doctor Visit Made Easy", the date and the time – without the doctor or any names. It is only saved when you tap "Add". The app has no access to your calendar and cannot read it. Apple's terms or those of your calendar provider apply to the calendar and its syncing.
Reminders
Reminders for visits and medications are scheduled on your iPhone. They are not sent over the internet. The lock screen shows only a short text, such as "Tomorrow at 10:30: Doctor's appointment" or "Mary: Morning medications" – without the doctor or medication names.
Maps and phone
When you tap "Directions to Practice", Apple Maps opens with the practice address. When you tap "Call Practice", the Phone app opens with the number. The app passes on only this address or number. Apple's privacy policy applies to Apple Maps.
Health app
"Open Health App" only opens Apple's Health app, for example to add medications to your Medical ID. The app does not read or write any data in Health.
Dictation
Speaking via the keyboard microphone is a feature of your iPhone; Apple's terms apply. The app itself does not record audio.
Trial and purchase
The trial and the purchase of the full version are handled by Apple's App Store. Apple processes your Apple Account and payment details under Apple's privacy policy. I only receive aggregated sales figures from Apple – no personal information and no health data.
Deletion
To delete a person with all their entries, go to "Help" → "Manage People" in the app. Deleting the app from your iPhone deletes all entries. Backup files you saved yourself are deleted wherever you saved them.
Your rights
Since I do not receive any personal data from you, I cannot provide information about it – only you have your entries. If you have questions, contact me at helmut.doser.apps@icloud.com. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
This website
This website is hosted with Google Sites (Google Ireland Limited); Google processes technically necessary data such as your IP address. I do not use analytics or advertising.
Changes
If the app changes in a way that requires this policy to be updated, I will update it here.
