My name is Helen Hays, and I would like to be your next mayor.

The Community of Bulverde spans approximately 9.6 square miles,

 with the center of the City at the crossroads of U.S. 281 and S.H.46, and an ETJ of 55 square miles. 

This is my home, and I want to be a part of the decisions made for its future.

I believe in the Vision Statement for our City which states:

"In the face of rapid regional growth, Bulverde will maintain its small-town identity by prioritizing families and the community, public safety, and conservation.  Bulverde will take control of growth and shape the community's future into one of resilience and high quality of life."

Bulverde has developed a tool for the City to guide future policy and development decisions.

I would like to be a part of the decision making and implementation process for our future and the future of our children and our grandchildren.

  We need to make sure that for our future, The City of Bulverde has efficient delivery of public services, good and thought out coordination of public and private investment, minimization of potential

conflicts between land uses, cost effective public investments, and most of all 

management of growth in an orderly manner.

  The City of Bulverde can guide growth, through regulations and responsible decisions.  

I understand the top priorities of our citizens, such as being a family-oriented community where we are safe, preserving our green-space and quality of life, managing traffic, and public safety, and to expand family entertainment and local businesses.

Our Infrastructure is one of the most important items in my agenda, because we need to make sure we are investing and maintaining a resilient infrastructure which can support 

future increased demand for water and electricity.
