My career so far
Currently, I am the Director of Operations for Team Dynamite Productions. We are a family-owned and operated event production company that brings METROCON to the Tampa Convention Center each summer. METROCON is a three day long celebration of Japanese animation and video games.
In addition to my director of operations title, I am also a former educator who, like many educators in Florida, is leaving the teaching field to find a new journey that aligns more with my core values of social justice, equality, truth, and fairness. I've taught for the past sixteen years and am looking forward to a new endeavor outside the classroom. Within my teaching career, I have taught grades K-6th and all subjects. However, reading remains my passion. I am reading endorsed, ESOL endorsed, and Lindamood-Bell trained.
Welcome to my instructional Design Portfolio. My name is Heidi Reeves Craddock. This portfolio is designed for the University of Maryland's Global Campus Instructional Design Micromaster's Certificate Program. This program consists of four master's level classes that I can choose to put towards a master's degree.
What is the purpose of this portfolio?
The purpose of this portfolio is to start flexing my instructional design muscles. I am figuring out how to make my website and design what looks good and adhere to current trends. Each of the pages I have created is different in design to see what works and what doesn't work and learn how to create. Some of the pages were created in Canva and embedded into my website. For other pages, I designed using Google Sites.
Who am I?
I am a Florida native. This is kinda rare here in the sunshine state, where everyone seems to have come from someplace else. I grew up in Pinellas County and moved to Hillsborough when I met my husband, Alex. My husband and I have one beautiful daughter together who just graduated high school and is in her first semester of college. I am a lifelong learner and am happy to be back in school where I can improve my career opportunities. In my free time, I love working out at the gym, yoga studio, roller skating rink, and anywhere else I can have fun while taking care of myself. I love listening to music and podcasts.
