The HEDGE 2026 Conference is jointly organized by the University of Pisa, Ca' Foscari University of Venice and the University of Brescia, as part of a grant funded by the Italian government (under the PRIN2022 scheme), with the support of the European Union (under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, funded by the Next-GenerationEU scheme) on "Communicable diseases and economic activity: individual behavior, social interactions and macroeconomic outcomes”.
This conference is the second of a series of events started in 2024 which will are organized either biannually, either in Pisa or at some other institutions. The conference wishes to be a forum to discuss and develop new approaches and methods to address the multifaceted links between economic activity on the one hand and environment and health on the other hand.
