Sapphire was made by the cult for a replacement for a child for parents that couldn't have a child for one reason or another. When Sapphire was first at her new home he was loved by his parents but over the months this love turned to annoyance because she couldn't do everything her parents wanted. Whenever he did something wrong her parents would scold her and roll their eyes questioning why they "even got this piece of trash if it's not gonna work right." After a few years her parents gave up on trying to treat her like a normal human child and trapped her in the basement with no lights. Her hair could glow but it wasn't enough to light up the room. After a while her hair started to grow long (to simulate a real child) and his parents were about to cut it short but Sapphire ran away before they could.
