Update to design section
Boilers used for central heating systems are generally heated by one of four different types of fuel source:
Solid fuel (coal, coke anthracite, bio mass wood pellets)
Gas (Natural gas and LPG)
Oil (C2-grade 28-second viscosity oil [kerosene])
Renewable energy (Ground source and air source heat pumps)
Systems boilers are a great and more efficient alternative to a conventional boiler for households who require a stored water cylinder.
Installation of a system boiler is usually much quicker and easier because many of the major individual components of the heating and hot water system are built into the actual boiler. This means that the installation tends to be much tidier and less disruptive to your home.
A system pumps hot water to the radiators and a sealed hot water cylinder; this allows for a faster response in getting hot water from your taps and can also be more energy efficient as less heat is wasted. Most system boilers are installed onto an unvented high pressure system, this means that you don’t need extra boiler facilities that you would with a conventional boiler, saving you space. The combination of boiler and cylinder also means that you can run more than one tap at the same time without your boiler losing pressure. We have a wide range of system boilers available from a variety of boiler brands to make sure you get the perfect boiler for your home.
A combi (or combination) boiler is an ingenious space-saving idea, and an increasingly popular choice in UK homes. In fact, combis now account for well over half of all the new domestic boilers installed in Britain every year.
A combi boiler is both a high-efficiency water heater and a central heating boiler, combined (hence the name) within one compact unit. Therefore, no separate hot water cylinder is required, offering space saving within the property.
Further benefits of a combi boiler includes hot water being delivered through your taps or shower at mains pressure. So you can enjoy powerful showering* without the need for a pump.
Another combi boiler benefit is that it can generally save you money on installation time and costs, since no tank in the roof space means less pipe work and a shorter installation time.
