As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring over seven years of experience supporting mental health and well-being across the full lifespan. My background includes six years as a licensed school social worker in Wisconsin, where I worked extensively with students from Pre-K through 12th grade, building a deep understanding of child and adolescent development. For the past two and a half years, I have expanded my practice as a contract therapist, supporting individuals, couples, and families across all stages of life as they navigate a wide range of challenges and transitions.
In my current role as a mental health therapist, I don't believe any single therapeutic modality fits every person. Instead, my approach is eclectic: I take time to genuinely understand each client's needs, goals, and desires, and I center our work on those shared goals while holding space for whatever is happening in their life day to day. Much of my work centers on helping clients explore their past, including complex trauma, so they can better regulate and feel steadier in their day-to-day lives. I also have particular experience supporting LGBTQ2S+ clients, as well as those navigating life transitions and adjustment challenges, and I hold myself to a high ethical standard while working hard to make therapy feel human rather than clinical.
My educational background includes a Master's in Social Work with a clinical/mental health and school social work emphasis from UW-Green Bay, and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare from UW-Madison. I also hold a Substance Use Disorder Certificate from UW-Madison and a Certificate in First Nations Studies from UW-Green Bay, enhancing my ability to provide culturally responsive and comprehensive support for clients facing various challenges.
When I'm not supporting clients in their mental health journey, you can find me in Wisconsin with my family. I believe in the healing power of nature and adventure, and I bring this holistic perspective to my therapeutic practice.
