The Isle of Lewis Chess set “replica” is an iconic representation of the historical and original which is on display in the British Museum. A smaller sub set is on display in Edinburgh in the National Museum of Scotland.

All of these pieces are sculptures of human figures except pawns which are simply geometric shapes.

The king is approximately 3 3/8 inches or 8.5 cm. in height with the pawns almost 1 1/2 inches or 4 cm. in height.

They are comfortable to hold and are a perfect conversation piece to be displayed on a board or in a shadow box.
