We have the mission to encourage students, teachers, and all people around the world to take sustainable attitudes. Because only together we could have a giant impact on the health of our planet. So, we will be able to save our home!
Healthy Planet Challenge is a world schedule to provide daily - for a week - challenges that impacted our planet. Moreover, to reduce the impacts of climate change.

If you are a counselor and want to bring the “Healthy Planet Challenge” to your school, you are in the right place! You only need to subscribe to your educational center bellow, and we will put it on our map.
If you aren’t registered in a school, you still can participate in the “Healthy Planet Challenge” as an individual. You only need to subscribe bellow. In the environment week (5th to 11th June - Cristian Calendar) we are going to promote an online challenge event.
Understand Better Climate Change
Global warming is the process of changing the overall average temperature of the atmosphere and oceans. The accumulation of high concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere blocks the heat emitted by the sun and holds it on the terrestrial surface, increasing the average temperature of the Earth. Bellow is a short illustrated video with more datails on how this happens.
What Causes Climate Change?
The extraction of trees and forests has a considerable impact on global warming, as they capture greenhouse gases, reducing their adverse effect on temperature.
When disposed of in landfills, solid waste emits greenhouse gases, mainly methane. The generation of this gas occurs because the organic matter present in the waste, in a situation of absence of oxygen, favors the action of methanogen bacteria, which decompose it, producing methane.
Agriculture and Livestock
Data from the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for 2019 show that agricultural activities are behind the emission of almost a quarter of greenhouse gases.
Fires
Fires are another known cause of global warming, responsible for releasing millions of extra tons of CO2 in recent years.
Fossil fuels
Most of the demand for electricity and inputs that guarantee transportation is still supplied by fossil fuels, whose use releases tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere every year.
